Dec 16, 2014

Hola, otra vez.:)
Well, this week just kind of flew by! Not too eventful, unfortunately. One of our investigators finally came to church! (Ricardo Miranda) His wife (Lourdes) has a lot of questions, and seems very receptive, and she likes the concept of a baby blessing, especially with the main church here being Catholic and therefore having infant baptisms.
I am again struck by how much we as missionaries need the members. People often think that we go knock on doors and what not, and all in all, it´s missionaries that do all that missionary work stuff... Not so! We would make little progress without references. Investigators are a little more receptive when there is a member present for the lesson, puts the church on a more relatable level. If new members are to stay in the church, join it, etc, then it is important that members befriend them and strengthen them. The church is a whole new world for them. If you look in the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and even the Bible, you find missionary work EVERYWHERE. Everyone is encouraged, even commanded to share the gospel.
Remember the invitation of Elder Ballard? To invite somebody to church before Christmas? Heh heh well, there is still time! Do not hesitate to share the gospel and pray for missionary opportunities. Don´t be afraid!!!!
We recently had a conference with a member of the seventy, and I am feeling pumped to improve and work hard. Sorry, I don´t really have much more for you other than it´s Christmas time...:)
Love you all, and love hearing from you! Chao!
